Mr. Bench is an Analyst responsible for monitoring performance metrics while supporting the Investment Team with portfolio risk assessment and transaction underwriting.
Before joining MicroVest in 2022, Mr. Bench was an intern with the Catholic Relief Services (CRS), where he worked with the malaria and private sector engagement teams to design and develop a project to distribute malaria commodities to 2,000+ smallholder farmers in rural Madagascar. Prior to CRS, Mr. Bench was a Business Development Intern at Smart Money International, a mobile banking platform focused on the Ugandan Market. Mr. Bench began his career as a Economic Development Advisor with the United States Peace Corps in Senegal, where he helped secure over $10k in grants and trained women and youth on small business strategy and basic finance. He also previously served as a Human Resources Researcher at Amazon Inc. and as a Propulsion Finance Analyst Intern at Boeing.
Mr. Bench holds an MS in the Foreign Service in International Development and International Business Diplomacy from Georgetown University and a BBA in Finance and a BA in French from the University of Notre Dame.
